Unlike many other remodeling projects, basement remodeling and refinishing takes place in a part of your house that is not heavily trafficked. For the most part it will be out of sight and the crew will be out of the way. The only thing to keep in mind is that there will be a sufficient amount of dust that gets kicked up. A good remodeling contractor takes precautions to prevent the dust from reaching other areas of the house but it would still be a good idea to change your HVAC filter after the project is complete.
